Future Vision

Moving forward Central Michigan Wrestling Club is looking to expand the number of programs for wrestlers. We have listed the programs we would like to have below. It is undetermined the years each program will start.

 

Beginners Program

Design: For wrestlers just getting into the sport.  Emphasis on basic skills and basic athleticism. Minimal to no competitions.

Timeframe: Once a week from January to March

 

Regional Folkstyle Program

Design: For wrestlers wanting to compete in the local region.  Emphasis on wrestling technique and building athleticism.

Timeframe: Two days a week from October to March. Overlaps with National Folkstyle Program.

 

National Folksytle Program

Design: For wrestlers wanting to compete in tournaments around the state and around the country. Emphasis on advanced technique, building athleticism, and live wrestling strategies.

Timeframe: Three to four days a week from October to March. Overlaps with Regional and High School Folkstyle Programs.

 

Freestyle Greco Summer Program

Design: For wrestlers wanting to compete in tournaments around the state and around the country throughout the summer. Emphasis on Olympic styles of wrestling.

Timeframe: Two to three days a week from April to July. 

 

High School Folkstyle Program

Design: For High School wrestlers wanting to compete in tournaments around the state and around the country. Emphasis on advanced technique, building athleticism, and live wrestling strategies.

Timeframe: Three to four days a week from October to March. Overlaps with National Folkstyle Program.
